Actual Size Eagle

I have made a layout using eagle then save it as PDF to print a test paper before routing.


exporting layout to PDF on eagle I didn’t design any package its all eagle’s packages. I exported PDF as shown on the image but the problem is : the atmega16 and l293d and even ne555 packages are all scaled down on the printed paper ! as you can see on the other image i put the real component aligned with the printed paper Real component doesn't match eagle printed layout test paper but they didn’t match ?!

What did i do wrong ?

Thanks to All replies i found that printing shop was printing it wrongly they print PDF from adobe x ver. 10 without correcting the print setting adobe has option under print -> size option -> check Actual size Adobe printing adjustment

Membuat PCB dengan Eagle

1. Pindahkan komponen ke Legal Area

Untuk freeware atau lite, ukuran legal area adalah 80x100mm, dan hanya support Top dan Bottom layer saja, untuk menghubungkan top dan bottom gunakan via (conducting hole, seperti jumper).

Tips: gunakan GROUP icon, click dan drag, buat kotak. select MOVE icon dan right click dan drag ke area yang dituju. gunakan Zoom untuk melihat hasilnya.

2. Mulailah Merapikan posisi component

Tips: kumpulkan komponen yang sama menjadi satu bagian

3. Check Signals


Gunakan RATSNEST icon/command to have EAGLE recompute the airwires.

GND diusahakan lurus

4. Load Design Rules

5. Fixkan Package yang salah setelah Load Design Rules

6. Try Autorouter

Tips: Gunakan Bottom layer saja, Top Layer di NA

7. Route Sisanya secara Manual

8. Tambahkan Power Plane Polygons

Power Plane adalah adalah area copper yang membawa signal terutama power dan ground.

1) Use less etchant
2) carries heavier current, just in case
3) makes it easier to attach test leads
4) acts as a sort of “static barrier” to fingers

To create a polygon attached to a signal named ‘gnd’, type “poly gnd” By giving it a signal name in the command, the polygon will automatcailly be connected to that signal

9. Add V+ Polygon

In this case, the V+ signal is named n$1, so we type “poly n$1

10. Smash Package Text

In order to move the text separately from the device itself, we use the “SMASH” command

11. Neaten Up; Move Traces

12. Fixing an OOPS!

13. Neaten Up: Allow for Alternate Packages and Options

14. Do Design Rule Check

15. Output Using Exported Images
